As more affordable electric vehicles (EV) hit the market, more drivers pass on petrol. Not a bad idea, especially when governments are funding the switch to e-mobility. The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) - now called Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), helps financing EV charging stations for home and business users.

The EV Homecharge Scheme exists since 2010 and the Workplace Charging Scheme since 2016. OZEV (formerly known as OLEV) has made it clear that these grants will not last forever. That is why companies need to act now.

The OZEV grant:

  • Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS): private customers can get up to £350 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger.
  • Workplace Charge Scheme (WCS): business customers can get up to £350 per socket (max. 40 sockets across all sites) towards the purchase and installation of charging stations for workplaces.
